Hi this blog is about how to customize your boot screen….
Every time we turn on our system, we are forced to see the boring windows xp boot screen with that blue bar moving. Here is a chance to change tat look and put a cool look which u love. This post shows the way to make tat come true.
CHANGING THE BOOT SCREEN
That boring windows xp boot screen image is stored in a hidden way in the system file ntoskrnl.exe. This image is only displayed when windows xp starts.
First of all we could change the boot screen only by downloading some hacked boot screen from the web. But by changing the default boot screen we may encounter some problems as “C:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe” is missing. This is basically due to the change in version of xp from the source where the file’s hacked and our destination [our system].
But the following steps for changing the boot screen are safe and free from problems.
1. Download and Install the bootskin application from this link. Click www.bootskin.com
2. Once u have the application running, navigate through list of boot screens using the scroll bars available.
3. Once you have found the boot screen that you like, click and select that item and click preview for full screen animated preview of that selected boot screen.
4. Now exit the preview screen by clicking on the preview screen and click the Apply button if you like that boot screen.
That’s it and when you reboot your system the boot screen you selected will be displayed. And if you want to change to the default boot screen, run thebootskin application and click the default boot screen.
Tat’s it folks.
